Sandton, Johannesburg – 27 January 2026 – Kia South Africa this weekend honoured its highest-performing dealerships at the 2025 Kia Dealer of the Year Awards, recognising excellence in sales, aftersales, and overall dealership operations. The prestigious event took place during Kia’s annual leadership conference at The Capital on the Park, bringing together senior leaders from across the brand’s dealer network.
Hosted by Kia South Africa CEO Paul Turnbull, the event was attended by notable industry figures, including Ockert Janse van Rensburg and Brenda Baijnath, CEO and CFO of Motus Holdings, as well as Mr. Yaser Shabsogh, Chief Operating Officer for Kia Middle East and Africa.
“This is the year we build on real momentum. Our dealer network delivered a strong performance across both sales and aftersales, consistently outperforming the market and expanding our footprint in key areas. It’s important to give credit where it’s due, and our annual awards do exactly that. We’re excited by the energy and focus heading into the year ahead,” said Paul Turnbull.
The awards celebrate dealerships and individuals who demonstrated excellence across all areas of the business, recognising both outstanding sales achievements and exceptional aftersales service. Certificates were presented to the top three finalists in each category, culminating in a single winner per award.

Individual excellence in aftersales was celebrated first, with Enrique Erasmus of Kia Port Elizabeth taking the title of Technician of the Year. In the Sales Executive of the Year category, the winners by dealership category were Peter Kaber (Kia Paarl, D), Stuart King (Kia Hermanus, C), Phillip Nagel (Kia Sandton, B), and Alfred Lehobye (Kia Centurion, A).
The Aftersales Dealer of the Year category recognised dealerships that excelled across training, parts, aftersales, and customer satisfaction. Winners included Kia Eswatini (D), Kia Hermanus (C), Kia Sandton (B), and Kia East Rand (A).
Sales Dealer of the Year awards were presented to dealerships demonstrating exceptional sales performance, market presence, and team collaboration under challenging market conditions. The honours went to Kia Paarl (D), Kia Vereeniging (C), Kia Brackenfell (B), and Kia East Rand (A).
The pinnacle of the evening was the presentation of the Dealer of the Year awards, celebrating holistic excellence across both sales and aftersales. Winners included Kia Paarl (D), Kia Hermanus (C), Kia Sandton (B), and Kia East Rand (A). However, one dealership stood out above all: Dealer Principal Mike Salt and his team at Kia East Rand, who were named the 2025 Kia Dealer of the Year for delivering the strongest overall performance across every category.
The 2025 Kia Dealer of the Year Awards reflect the brand’s commitment to recognising dedication, consistency, and performance, setting a benchmark for excellence in South Africa’s automotive industry.
